You may apply to one program per term, but you can submit applications for multiple terms at once, including consecutive terms. Check the UCEAP deadlines page for each program’s application and withdrawal deadlines.
How To Apply
Step 1: Choose Your Program
Explore UCEAP programs and find one that fits your academic interests,
preferred location, and intended term.
- Browse programs using the Program Filter (e.g., Region, Subject Area, Experience Type, Term)
- Review each program’s courses, eligibility, and requirements.
Step 2: Identify Coursework & Transferability
Identify coursework options
- Review the courses offered by your program and consider how they fit your
academic plan. - Need help finding coursework? Email the UCEAP Academic Specialist for your program’s country or attend UCEAP Application Advising.
Plan for course transfer and petitions
- Course petition processes can vary across campus.
- Talk with your academic advisor about how courses may fit your degree requirements.
- Confirm any major, college, or graduation requirements before you apply.
- Utilize Major Academic Plans and the Transfer Course Credit Database to learn more.
Discover how study abroad coursework can be applied toward your degree requirements. If your major hasn’t been added, check the requirements with your academic advisor or department.
Transfer Course Credit Database
Explore how study abroad coursework fulfills your general education requirements. The Transfer Course Credit Database lists pre-approved GE courses for students belonging to CAAC, Athletics, Honors, and AAP advising units.

Applying is free. Choose a program and term, then submit one application for that option.
One application per term. You may apply to different terms at the same time, but only one application per term.
