Below, you will find a general timeline of when applications/registration open and close geared towards helping you plan your study abroad process. Please note, this is an estimate and exact deadlines vary per program. Visit ieo.ucla.edu/deadlines for exact dates.

Start
Begin your study abroad research 4 – 12 months prior to when you would like to be abroad. Make note of deadlines.
October - November
Applications and registration for all Summer, Fall, and Year terms open.
December - April
Applications and registration for all Summer, Fall, and Year terms close.
January
Applications for Winter and Spring term open.
May - September
All Winter and Spring term applications close.
