Our advising team is here to assist students with their study abroad inquiries, including help with selecting the perfect program. There are several ways to reach out to us—find the option that suits you best below!

For those with quick or general questions about studying abroad, we offer convenient drop-in advising, both virtually and in person at our office located at 1332 Murphy Hall. No appointment is necessary!

In-Person Drop-in Advising

  • Same as our virtual drop-in advising, but in-person! Come visit us in 1332 Murphy Hall. We are open Monday-Thursday from 9am-3pm.

1:1 General Advising

Sign up for a General Advising Appointment

  • This is a 30-minute one-on-one appointment with a study abroad advisor.
  • This is ideal for students who have a few general questions, need help narrowing down their options, or who don’t know where to start and seek a bit more time with an advisor than drop-in advising.
  • Our team can answer question about academic credit, program options, choosing a program, eligibility, deadlines, and general financial aid.
  • Questions about your specific financial aid or estimates should be directed to the UCLA Financial Aid Office.

1:1 Regional and Program-Specific Advising

  • They are best suited for students who have already done some research, explored our Study Abroad 101 and program pages, and now have specific or clarifying questions.
  • Our advisors are assigned by regions of the world or specific programs.

1:1 UCEAP General & Financial Advising

  • University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) offers General Information appointments for students.
  • These are 20-minute appointments with their study abroad advisors. They are best suited for students who have already done some research, explored their UCEAP program’s respective page, and now have specific or clarifying questions.
