In-Person Drop-in Advising
Same as our virtual drop-in advising, but in-person! Come visit us in 1332 Murphy Hall. We are open Monday-Thursday from 9am-3pm.
1:1 General Advising
Not currently available. Please attend one of our general drop in sessions (virtual or visit our office).
This is a 30-minute one-on-one appointment with a study abroad advisor. This is ideal for students who have a few general questions, need help narrowing down their options, or who don’t know where to start and seek a bit more time with an advisor than drop-in advising. Our team can answer question about academic credit, program options, choosing a program, eligibility, deadlines, and general financial aid. Questions about your specific financial aid or estimates should be directed to the UCLA Financial Aid Office.
1:1 Regional and Program-Specific Advising
These are 30-minute appointments with our specialized advisors. They are best suited for students who have already done some research, explored our Study Abroad 101 and program pages, and now have specific or clarifying questions. Our advisors are assigned by regions of the world or specific programs.
Students can request this type of appointment by emailing info@ieo.ucla.edu with the following or by clicking here: Schedule Appointment
- First and last name
- Bruin UID
- Phone number
- Major and class year
- Country and/or program of interest and term
- Availability for the next 5 weekdays
- What kind of questions do you have? Please be as specific as possible as this will determine with whom to schedule the appointment or if we need to direct your question to a different supporting unit.
