Harry C. Sigman Scholarship

The UCLA Y&S Nazarian Center for Israel Studies, a constituent of the UCLA International Institute, is pleased to announce the Harry C. Sigman Scholarship which will provide a scholarship to a UCLA student for study abroad in Israel. For the 2017-18 academic year, the scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $3,000. The Scholarship is designed for UCLA students from any academic background who wish to gain first-hand knowledge of Israel and its people, and to share their experience with others upon return to UCLA. This scholarship is made possible by a generous endowment gift from Harry C. Sigman to encourage students of diverse backgrounds to study in Israel.

Application Criteria
    • Full-time UCLA undergraduate or law student;

    • Attending a semester or year program at an institution of higher education in Israel. Institutions may include (but are not limited to) Ben-Gurion University, Hebrew University, IDC Herzliya, the Technion, Tel Aviv University, or University of Haifa;

    • Applicants must have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA at the time of application.

Please note that these scholarships will be awarded through a competitive application process.
