Company Description: Biorock undertakes coral reef surveillance and restoration, community education and advocacy.
Coral restoration projects are vital for the continuation of coral reefs. Climate change, mass coral bleaching, and pollution all are threats to the future of coral reefs. Over half of Indonesia’s coral reefs have already been destroyed, threatening the livelihoods of around 33 million people.

Intern Role and Responsibilities: Your general role & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Researching the practice of unsustainable fishing practices in Indonesia.
- Researching and identifying the factors that prevent small-holder fishers and fish farmers from moving to more sustainable practices in different regions.
- Analyzing campaigns and suggesting ways to optimize future ones.
- Researching and compiling donor personas for the organization.
- Preparing stakeholder communications on the environmental impact of Biorock’s programs that cater to various stakeholder audiences.

Company Description: Coral Triangle Center (CTC) is an independent, non-profit foundation. Its goal is to promote the
conservation of marine biodiversity and the sustainable management of marine and coastal
resources across the Coral Triangle (CT). Coral reefs in the CT have faced threats from coastal

Intern Role and Responsibilities: Your general role & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist CTC communication activities, specifically in developing maps for popular

- Producing a benchmarking report of impact measurements used by leading NGOs.

PKP Community Center
Company Description: The PKP Community Center (PKP) started as a daycare for disabled children, so their mothers can go to work. It has since expanded to provide life skills training and wellbeing programs for women who are mothers of disabled children, divorced, single mothers, infertile, transgender, and who have financial struggles.
Although the earliest Balinese women’s rights movement dates back to the 1930s, cultural norms still dictate the opportunities offered to Balinese women. As a result, PKP Community Centre has an overall goal to facilitate women’s empowerment and to foster gender equality of Balinese women and girls in the local area, which it pursues through multiple programs. As part of their mission, PKP provides job skills training and support programs, helping women earn a living from selling food and English classes – and provides support for divorced women who face stigma in the community. Company Description: Terra Water is a foundation that focuses on widening access to clean, safe drinking water across Indonesia. Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world, with a population of 273 million people and is Southeast Asia’s largest economy, but many rural communities and residents of some less developed urban areas struggle with infrastructure and poor health. For many families, water sources are distant, contaminated or expensive, and household sanitation is unaffordable. Currently, around 18 million Indonesians lack access to safe water and many people do not understand safe practices around accessing clean water.
Terra works with a network of local and international organizations that help identify and deliver filters to families in Indonesia with the most need, and educate them on good WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) practices. Intern Role and Responsibilities: Your general role & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Review and analyze existing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, systems, and processes within the programme.
- Conduct research and gather relevant data and information to inform the revision of the M&E framework.
- Assess the effectiveness and relevance of existing M&E indicators, tools, and methodologies.
- Propose modifications or new indicators, tools, and methodologies to enhance the programme’s M&E practices.
- Provide guidance and training to staff members on the revised M&E framework, including the use of new indicators, tools, and methodologies.
- Regularly communicate and report on the progress and findings of the M&E revision process to relevant stakeholders, including management, and program teams.

Interns will be required to assist and support tourist victims of crime, in person, and over the phone. At all times the Intern will be working alongside an experienced staff member. They will assist with progressing each case. - The intern will be involved in the drafting of our quarterly report. This involves data gathering and processing, design, graphics, context research, and drafting text. This is done to show Distribute Aid’s humanitarian impact each quarter, and have accountability to our donors in terms of the people we have helped and the budget we used. The intern will work with a manger to find all the data, and input it into a pre-existing report layout using Canva.
- The second project is impact reporting. It is similar to the first project, but in this case the information is specifically aimed at our charity partners, to show them the impact our partnership has had in terms of serving humanity. The intern may be involved in meetings with the partner to share the impact our cooperation has had over the past month or quarter.
- Communications – the intern will help DA with brand management and external communications via social media channels and in reports to our partners. This requires knowledge of DA’s policies, image-sharing protections, and language guide. They will gain experience with common practices and policies regarding communication in the humanitarian sector.
- Social media – The intern will be involved in drafting social media communications on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. On a weekly basis, the admin team will lay out posts they would like highlighted that week with a few bullet points and image ideas. The intern will be asked to draft posts or compile research into topics such as regional context for refugees.
- The intern will keep one of our internal reporting datasets up to date to help keep track of our humanitarian aid shipments. The daily tasks will require the intern to collect data from our shipments and inputting it in the correct format on the data spreadsheets. The intern will gain experience with data management, and software services like google sheets, notion, and gsuite.

The intern may be guided on advising legal experts on a broad range of globally trending commercial and regulatory matters, and structuring, drafting commercial transactions. They may provide day-to-day advice in a wide range of legal areas, including tax law, corporate law, civil law and commerce law according to the Mexican law but also some other international laws that may apply in some cases, and regulatory compliance.
- Legal Writing & Legal Memorandum Assistance: The intern may be involved in drafting legal agreements, writing articles on various practices of corporate law, commercial laws, arbitration, tax law, IP law, arbitration law, business, and financial laws under the keen supervision of the assigned supervisor. The intern is expected to reference all legal research materials and sources used in executing the draft articles but also promote itself as a formal writer in the social media of the firm. The intern may support the curation of legal memos based on current drafts to deliver a short thesis sentence that briefly identifies the issue and the applicable rule and states a short answer. The intern may ensure that the procedural posture of the case and the burdens and standards of proof of well-noted and any additional references or research is cited.
- Case Study Review & Creation: The intern may study local cases relevant with civil, criminal and tax law and keep our clients posted with updated news and information including in-depth analysis on the cases and full report on this regard. Depending on skills the intern can recommend possible precautionary measures and points the client may have to take into consideration. The intern may also be curating and editing materials for release of information on various legal issues and topics to the public. These may include blogs, videos, infographics, art cards, public service announcements. Aside from editing, interns may be asked to do some research on the materials to be covered and included in the content.
- Research Project: The intern may conduct a large-scale research project within our defined focus. The intern may need to acquire the data, organize the data, analyze the information, and create a full report with key findings. This project may require strong organization, data analysis, data collecting, research, written communication, and project management.
