The UCLA Global Internship Program Scholarship will offer multiple scholarship awards of up to $3,000 each for UCLA students participating on in-person programs and up to $1,000 for UCLA students participating on virtual programs.

Application Criteria

  • Applicants must be a UCLA undergraduate student participating in the UCLA Global Internship Program (Please note that students enrolled in the UCEAP Summer Global Internship Program are not eligible for this scholarship).
  • Applicants must be financial aid recipients at UCLA.
  • Applicants must have maintained a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at the time of application.

Scholarship Guidelines and Expectations

Scholarship winners will be asked to provide the following upon completion of their Global Internship Program:

  • Written testimonial on their experience for the IEO website.
  • 10 high quality photos to be used for marketing purposes (required from students participating on the in-person programs only).
  • Student Experience Project: Video or Handout.
  • Participation in panels, info sessions and/or orientations to highlight their experience to summer 2026 Global Internship Program applicants.
  • Act as a program Ambassador for future Global Internship Program applicants (Summer 2026 program application cycle).

Please note that these scholarships will be awarded through a competitive application process. All eligible students are encouraged to apply and preference will be given to first generation students, underrepresented minority students and students who have not previously studied abroad.

Applications will be reviewed by the UCLA IEO Scholarship Committee. Scholarships will be awarded through a competitive application process.  Applicants will be notified of decisions by mid-February. All eligible students are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate high financial need, first generation students, underrepresented minority students and students who have not previously studied abroad.
