The IEO is pleased to announce the Chatham House Study Abroad Scholarship. The Royal Institute of International Affairs, commonly known as Chatham House, is a British think tank based in London, England. Its stated mission is “to help governments and societies build a sustainably secure, prosperous, and just world”.
This scholarship is available to UCLA students participating in a UCLA Travel Study or UCEAP program in London. Students awarded this scholarship are expected to:
- Attend a minimum of two Chatham House membership events.
- Write an essay about their experience (the essay prompt will be provided when you return from studying abroad).
- Write a thank you letter to the donors.

ELIGIBILITY
- Currently enrolled UCLA undergraduate student.
- Registered for a UCLA Travel Study or UCEAP Study Abroad program.
- Have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA at the time of application.
Please note that this scholarship will be awarded through a competitive application process. Students must comply with program registration/application deadlines to be eligible for this scholarship.
HOW TO APPLY

- Complete the General Application.
- Apply to the Global Bruins Scholarship once application opens for your program term.
Applications will be reviewed by the UCLA IEO Scholarship Committee. Award announcements will be made mid-March for summer/fall/year-long programs.
