The IEO is pleased to announce the OrgullOSOs Abroad – Snaider-Garriga Family Scholarship, which aims to support UCLA undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need who wish to participate in study or internship abroad. It is the Donors’ wish to support Latinx students who are first-generation. Applicants must be a UCLA student attending a UCLA Global Internship, UCLA Travel Study or UCEAP program.
The Snaider-Garriga Family Scholarship is made possible by a generous gift from Andres Snaider and Stephanie Garriga. One scholarship in the amount of $4,000 will be awarded to a student participating in a Summer/Fall/Year program.

Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled UCLA undergraduate student.
- Must be a first-generation student.
- Must demonstrate financial need (based on FAFSA and Financial Aid Office).
- Students participating in virtual programs are not eligible.
Please note that it is the donors’ wish to support Latinx students who are first-generation, and this scholarship will be awarded through a competitive application process. Students must comply with program registration/application deadlines to be eligible for this scholarship.
Application Instructions

- Complete the General Application.
- Apply to the Global Bruins Scholarship once application opens for your program term.
Applications will be reviewed by the UCLA IEO Scholarship Committee. Award announcements will be made mid-March for summer/fall/year programs.
