Through the generosity of Ross Shideler and Kathleen Komar, the UCLA IEO is excited to announce the Komar Shideler Study Abroad Scholarship. Applicants must be a UCLA student attending a UCLA Global Internship, UCLA Travel Study or UCEAP program.

AWARD
$2,000 (multiple awards may be available)
ELIGIBILITY
- Preference will be given to Comparative Literature and Scandinavian Languages majors/minors and Nordic Studies majors, followed by students pursuing a major in the humanities.
- Students participating in the UCLA Summer Travel Study Program –Â ELTS: In the footsteps of Hans Christian Andersen will be considered next.
- High financial need students (based on FAFSA and Financial Aid Office) and who have not studied abroad will be given priority.
- Students participating in virtual programs are not eligible.

- Complete the General Application.
- Apply to the Global Bruins Scholarship once application opens for your program term.
Applications will be reviewed by the UCLA IEO Scholarship Committee. Award announcements will be made mid-March for summer/fall programs and early December for winter/spring programs.
