The UCLA International Institute is pleased to announce the European Undergraduate Study Abroad Scholarship. The Fund was established in 2017, and made possible by a generous gift from Mr. Jonathan Fragodt ’91. Applicants must be a UCLA student, from any academic background, attending a UCLA Global Internship, UCLA Travel Study or UCEAP program in Europe. For Summer/Fall/Year 2025, the fund will provide up to two $2,500 scholarships.
Students attending a program in the UK should apply to the UK Undergraduate Study Abroad Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a UCLA student attending a UCLA or UCEAP program in Europe (except the United Kingdom) for at least one academic term (i.e. summer, quarter, semester or year abroad);
- Applicants should not have previously studied abroad nor have significant foreign travel experience;
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need (based on FAFSA and Financial Aid Office);
- Applicants must have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA at the time of application;
- Students participating in virtual programs are not eligible.
Please note that these scholarships will be awarded through a competitive application process. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate that the experience of studying abroad will have a great impact both academically and personally. Students must comply with program registration/application deadlines to be eligible for this scholarship.

- Complete the General Application.
- Apply to the Global Bruins Scholarship once application opens for your program term.
Applications will be reviewed by the UCLA IEO Scholarship Committee. Award announcements will be made mid-March for summer/fall programs and early December for winter/spring programs.
